Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards paid woman $100K to abort his baby: ‘You got the money, what’s the hold up?’

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards apologized for pressuring his sidepiece to abort a child he didn’t want.

Edwards, 22, caught heat over the weekend when OnlyFans model Paige Jordae leaked their text messages after he wired her $100,000 to have an abortion.

The Timberwolves guard made it very clear that he didn’t want any kids.

“Hell Nawl can’t do dis,” he wrote after she told him she had a doctor’s appointment.

“Get a abortion lol,” he wrote.

Jordae told him she aborted her unborn son 2 years ago and she regretted it ever since. But Edwards was unsympathetic.

“Man you can’t force a kid in da world,” he wrote.

Jordae texted back: “Being cool to u is just going to get an abortion by myself n u not doing shit n going about ur day. That’s being cool to u. Obviously u been thru this before just by ur reactions.”

“I will send you money to help u out,” Edwards wrote.

“I didn’t ask for it but ok,” Pardae responded, before adding, “U just don’t want a baby? Is that why ur saying all this? Cus I been cool w u.”

Edwards, who has a girlfriend, replied: “I don’t want kids. Let’s handle this like grownups.”

In another text, he wrote, “Just take the pills. You got the money, what’s the hold up? Cause now you finna make a problem [sic].”

Ewards also asked her to send him a video of the pills so he could be sure they were the right ones.

“What other pills would they be anthony?” she asked him.

Jordae shared a screenshot of a wire payment that shows Edwards sent her $100,000.

After the text messages went viral over the weekend, Edwards was forced to address the situation publicly.

He wrote on Twitter/X:

“I made comments in the heat of a moment that are not me, and that are not aligned with what I believe and who I want to be as a man. All women should be supported and empowered to make their own decisions about their bodies and what is best for them. I am handling my personal matters privately and will not be commenting on them any further at this time.”

On Monday night, Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch said the organization would be discussing the matter with Edwards privately.

“We will be having ongoing conversations about such things. I think it’s important to state that it’s not reflective of our organization, our values, for sure. And as a young man, it’s clear that the education and maturity of Anthony Edwards continues to be a work in progress. Beyond that, it’s a personal matter for him and any conversations that we have will remain private.”

Edwards also faced backlash in 2020 when he used homophobic language in a video that was posted to his Instagram account.

The NBA fined Edwards $40,000 for using “derogatory and offensive language.”
