A Ohio woman who fatally shot her wife died after a high-speed police pursuit in Indiana.
Springfield Township police responded to a home in the 2700 block of Lincoln Avenue around 7 a.m. Monday, according to a press release. They found 33-year-old Lacresha Black shot multiple times on her front porch. She was pronounced dead at the scene, WCPO reported.
Police say Black was shot by Terea Denise Brown, 42, following an altercation inside the house. Officials said Brown fled the scene in a dark-colored Chevrolet Cruise. The vehicle information was broadcast to law enforcement agencies in neighboring jurisdictions.

Indiana State Troopers spotted the car in Clinton County, Indiana and gave pursuit. At some point, Brown exited I-65 and stopped her car on a county road near State Route 28. A gunshot was fired from inside Brown’s vehicle, police said, and troopers returned fire. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene. A gun was found inside her vehicle.
The 911 caller told police that Black was his caretaker. He discovered her body on the front porch. The man told the 911 dispatcher that he didn’t know the name of the woman who shot Black but he’d seen her at the home before.
Black and Brown tied the knot in December 2023. They often fought and had an “on and off” relationship, friends say.
