Faith Evans was just off celebrating her birthday in Turks and Caicos. The First Lady of R&B did it big with her children, friends from her Bad Boy hey-day, and more. Not present was estranged husband Stevie J. It looks like the couple is moving full speed ahead on their divorce, and Faith is eager to finalize everything as soon as possible. Stevie is finally helping her move the process along, turning in crucial documents to help them go their separate ways.
The Blast obtained legal documents that confirm that Stevie has finally signed a declaration of disclosure for the divorce. This is an important part of the divorce proceedings, and it acknowledges that “one side has given all of their financial information to the other.” In most divorce cases, this means that the couple is on their way to settling.
Things between the pair had been getting nasty. Most recently, Faith accused him of stealing her car to drive out to Coachella. Faith demanded her vehicle be returned and revealed she paid for it in cash and did not list Stevie on her insurance. Stevie was, however, present at her son’s birthday party not too long before that, so they were possibly trying to get things right.
The couple seemed doomed from the beginning. Many fans were critical of the “friends turned lovers” and how quickly they fast-tracked from dating to marriage. Joseline Hernandez was not a fan of the couple and called Faith’s son a “monster” after the autistic teen reportedly harmed her daughter Bonnie Bella.
Faith would later be arrested on a domestic violence charge, and Stevie leaked videos of the couple arguing and claiming they hate each other. While he later apologized and tried to win his wife back, it seemed Evans has had enough. Evans just turned 50 and looks poised to start her life fresh.
