Will Smith FINALLY REVEALS The Truth About Jada Pinkett Smith’s Entanglement

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are finally opening up about the August Alsina affair rumors that have dominated headlines in recent weeks. In a new episode of Red Table Talk, the Smiths confirmed that Jada did, in fact, have an affair with Alsina about four and a half years ago. Jada explained that she and Will were “separated amicably” at the time of her “entanglement with August,” but after a few months, the couple realized that they wanted to save their marriage and reunited. “I just wanted to feel good,” Jada said of the affair. “It had been so long since I felt good.”

In late June, singer August Alsina claimed that he had a sanctioned affair with Jada around 2016-2017. At the time, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s representatives denied Alsina’s claim, but last week, they finally reversed course and announced that they would be addressing the scandal head-on in a new Red Table Talk episode, which debuted on Facebook Watch this afternoon.

The Smiths spoke frankly about the August Alsina affair rumor, as they believe that opening up to the world will be “healing” for their family. “About four and a half, four years ago, I started a friendship with August. We actually became really, really good friends,” said Jada. She explained that Alsina was “really sick” when they first met, so she thought that they may be able to help him recover.

“You and I were going through a very difficult time … We broke up,” continued Jada. “Yeah, I was done with your ass. I was done with you,” replied Will. The couple explained that their breakup was, at that time, “indefinite,” and Jada turned to Alsina for support. “As time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August,” she said, confirming rumors of the affair.

However, the duo disputed Alsina’s claim that Will gave him “his blessing” to see Jada. “What August was probably trying to communicate — I could actually see how he would perceive it as permission because we were separated amicably,” said Jada. “He also wanted to make it clear that he’s not a homewrecker, which he’s not.”

When Will pressed Jada about her use of the word “entanglement,” she clarified that she and Alsina were in a legitimate “relationship” at the time. However, she and her husband realized that, no matter how much they wanted to get away from one another, “that was not possible,” and she ultimately ended things with Alsina.

“I actually don’t look at it as a transgression at all,” concluded Jada. “Through that particular journey, I learned so much about myself and was able to really confront a lot of emotional immaturity, emotional insecurity, and I was really able to do some really deep healing.”
