Michael Ealy was trending on Twitter recently due to his enduring popularity with women. He has always been regarded as a heartthrob, drawing many fans to his films because of his good looks. However, a recent interview with Kelly Clarkson unveiled an interesting anecdote about his co-star Taraji P. Henson’s reaction to him during the filming of “Think Like a Man 2.” It turns out that Henson once told Ealy that he didn’t smell great during a romantic scene they were shooting together.
During his appearance on the Kelly Clarkson show, while promoting his Hulu series “Reasonable Doubt,” Ealy candidly shared this humorous incident. He mentioned that during a particular scene, which required him to be shirtless, he did around 250 push-ups to pump up his chest and get the blood flowing. However, the intense workout left him sweating, and this was a turn-off for Taraji P. Henson.
Ealy further explained that he has a deep love and admiration for Henson, emphasizing their shared hometown and her exceptional talent. He recounted that they were filming a scene in “Think Like a Man Too” when he had just become a father, leaving him with limited time to work out and prepare for the role.
Michael Ealy and Taraji P. Henson co-starred in the 2012 film “Think Like a Man,” where they portrayed the characters Dominic and Lauren. Their characters were affectionately referred to as “The Dreamer” and “The Woman Who is Her Own Man.” Throughout the film, they had to navigate various challenges to determine if love was in their future, including the memorable and mentioned sex scene. The film was well-received, leading to a sequel in 2014, both based on Steve Harvey’s book of the same title.
In another part of the interview, Michael and Kelly discussed Halloween and the age-old tradition of pilfering candy from their kids. Ealy reminisced about having his candy stolen when he was younger. They also talked about freezing some of their favorite candies and savoring them when cold. Ealy gave credit to his kids for rekindling his enthusiasm for Halloween, expressing his enjoyment in dressing up because people often don’t recognize him beneath the mask.
While Ealy’s recent revelation about the on-set incident with Taraji P. Henson may not have caused much of a stir among fans, they are more focused on his new series “Reasonable Doubt” and how he continues to captivate audiences. One fan humorously quipped, “As much as Michael Ealy can make me swoon, I’ve come to the conclusion that he must be hella annoying to be partnered with. He always has this look like he’s going to wake you up at 3 am and ask what we’re going to do about the situation in Ecuador.” Another fan added, “Michael Ealy’s wife must be God’s strongest soldier because one thing he’s going to do is be the main love interest, and they’re going to ‘do the do.'”
Taraji P. Henson is known for calling out her male cast mates. In a previous interview, the actress revealed actor Tyrese was afraid to take his clothing off while filming an intimate scene in Baby Boy.
