“Black-ish” star Anthony Anderson will pay his ex-wife, Alvina Stewart, nearly $20,000 a month in spousal support in addition to $4 million in one lump sum to settle their divorce case.
According to court documents, obtained by TMZ, Anthony will pay the $20,000 monthly support and an additional 20% if he earns over $2 million in gross annual salary.
Anthony gets their Encino, California home, and Alvina keeps their Houston home. They also have a cemetery plot at Inglewood Park Cemetery, which they’ll be selling and splitting the proceeds.
Court documents say Alvina owns a Glock-19 firearm that’s currently in Anthony’s possession. He will turn it over to law enforcement within the next 30 days.
Alvina originally filed for divorce in 2015, but the couple reconciled two years later. Then on March 25, 2022, she filed for divorce again after 22 years of marriage. Alvina requested spousal support and attorney’s fees.
During a recent interview, Anderson opened up about meeting his wife in college.
“My sophomore year, her freshman year, I knew a girl who lived in the apartment, so I went to knock on the door to invite her to this party that I and my buddies were having. My wife answered the door. I was like, ‘I was coming to invite Stacey to this party we’re having.’ Stacey didn’t show up, but my wife did – and we have been together ever since that night,” he said.
Anthony is not required to pay child support since their two children, Kyra and Nathan, are adults.
Accoeding to The Blast, Anthony co-signed his ex-wife’s lease, so she could “secure alternate housing” since she didn’t have proof of income.
