Dennis Rodman apologized to his estranged daughter Trinity Rodman after the U.S. soccer star criticized him on a podcast.
Dennis wrote a lengthy apology letter on his social media account.
“Sorry I wasn’t the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still Try and Never will Stop. I will try even when it’s difficult and if it takes a long time.”
The post continued: “Trying even when you’re being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try even when it’s difficult and if it takes a long time. I’m always here And tell you all the time rather it’s your voice or voicemail how proud I am. I always had one wish and it was I wish my kids would call me and come see me.”
Rodman added, “Hopefully one day I can get that. I’m here and I’m still trying pick up the phone you have my number, You see me calling, I’m still here Dennis RODMAN- Dad.”
The Chicago Bulls legend apologized after Trinity called out her father on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast this week. She said her father only shows up occasionally when cameras are rolling.
Trinity gave an example, saying after the 5x NBA champ attended her NWSL match in 2021, Rodman disappeared for three years.
Trinity is a star forward for the Washington Spirit and an Olympic gold medalist.
In a Twitter post dated March 8, 2017, Dennis wrote: “Happy International women’s day to my beloved daughter Trinity! Let’s celebrate wonderful women around us today.”
