Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan have called it quits after a dating for a year. Both Larsa and Marcus unfollowed each other on social media.
They also scrubbed photos from their social media pages.
Larsa and Marcus began dating in 2023. Larsa knew Marcus when he was a little boy.
They announced their engagement in a statement to People.com in December.
Larsa told People.com that they were seaching for a location to hold their nuptials.
After breakup rumors circulated online over the weekend, Larsa and Marcus shared a statement with The Times. They said they “decided to take some time apart to reevaluate their relationship.”
“This has nothing to do with any family input, but solely for their personal growth,” the statement read.
Larsa, 49, is best known as the ex-wife of Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen. She is also the ex-bestie of L.A. socialite Kim Kardashian.
Marcus, 33, is the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan. His famous father publicly disapproved of their relationship.
In July, two media outlets asked Michael if he approved of his son’s relationship with his former teammates’s ex-wife. Both times he responded with an emphatic “No!”
However, Marcus claims he knew ahead of time what his father’s response would be. He said Michael told him not to take it the wrong way.
“We knew ahead of time because he called me and texted me and wanted to make sure that I didn’t take anything the wrong way,” Marcus said during the July 11 episode of their “Separation Anxiety with Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan” podcast.
On Monday, Larsa updated her Instagram page:
“The man you choose to be your partner affects everything in your life,” she wrote. “Your mental health, your peace of mind …. how your children will be raised and much more. Choose wisely.”
