Media Take Out reported earlier this week that the daughter of alternative singer Macy Gray filed for a restraining order against her brother after accusing him of hitting their famous mother.
Well now Macy has come forward to set the record straight, insisting everything was just a big misunderstanding.
In a video shared on Instagram, Macy claims that her son would never put his hands on her and is not that type of guy.
Macy also corrected quotes attributed to her daughter concerning her son’s alleged abuse, claiming they were taken out of context to make it appear that her brother was getting physical, when the actual abuse was verbal in nature.
Macy explained that the document filed was a ‘move out’ order not a restraining order, because her 27-year-old son refuses to get his own place, and move out orders and restraining orders fall under the same category in the jurisdiction where it was filed.
