On Monday, Kenya Moore took to Instagram to share a message to fans, hinting that she’s soon “closing a chapter” in her life. She said, “Good morning team twirl,” the former Miss USA, 52, wrote in an Instagram Story. “Today is an important day for me as I wish to close one chapter in my life as I open another. Please pray for closure for my family and a positive outcome. With love and hope. Kenya.
While the Real Housewives of Atlanta star didn’t go into details at the time, she’s finally revealing that she has finalized her divorce from ex-husband Marc Daly.
In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Kenya said, “After more than three years of litigation, I have finally been granted a divorce,” Moore, told the outlet about the private mediation. “I want to thank everyone who prayed for and uplifted me when I needed it the most.” She continued, “I’m excited for this next chapter in my life and being the best mom I can be for my daughter, Brooklyn.” The actress concluded, “As a hopeless romantic, I still believe my forever person exists and know I’ll have my happily ever after ending after all.”
More On Kenya Moore And Marc Daly’s Divorce:
As we previously reported, Kenya officially filed for divorce from Marc in August 2021. That filing came nearly two years after Kenya and Marc first confirmed they had separated in September 2019 after marrying in June 2017.
Marc previously addressed the state of his marriage to Kenya in a statement to The Root. He said at the time, “After recently attending mediation, Kenya and I have agreed to end our marriage. I will always have great care for her and look forward to amicably continuing to co-parent our daughter Brooklyn with an abundance of love and wisdom.”
Moore, and Daly began dating in December 2016 and tied the knot in June 2017. They welcomed daughter, Brooklyn Doris, in 2018.
During RHOA’s BravoCon 2023 panel in November, Moore hinted that her divorce would soon be coming to an end.
“There’s been] some movement. We had a court hearing and then got on the trial calendar, so were going to go to trial, and then we got bumped off the trial calendar,” she continued, before quipping, “I can’t make this stuff up!”
She then declared, “I’m saying it right now: I will be single and divorced before 2024.”
