Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict’s divorce has been finalized, marking the end of their 20-year marriage. Court documents have revealed the details of their separation. Initially, there were concerns that Cory might receive spousal support, given that Tia was the higher earner in the relationship.
However, it has been determined that Cory will not receive spousal support, and he won’t have rights to their family home. Tia and Cory surprised the public with their split in October, but since then, both of them have been thriving in their own ways.
Cory continues his acting career on television, while Tia’s social media presence helps support her financially. Tia has also delved into wellness and fashion, acknowledging that she felt somewhat lost during her marriage. Fortunately, their separation appears to have been handled amicably for the sake of their children, and they spent the holidays together. According to the court documents, they will share joint custody.
Tia will retain ownership of their $4.3 million home in Studio City, where she currently lives with their two children. The court documents also contain provisions that prevent either party from speaking negatively about the other in the presence of their children. There is also a clause regarding introducing new romantic partners to the children.
“Each party is restrained from introducing the minor children to a new romantic partner until the party has been in an exclusive relationship with the romantic partner for at least six months.”
Early in the separation, Cory sought to have an amended prenuptial agreement invalidated. Throughout most of their relationship, Tia was the primary breadwinner, and it seemed that Cory was seeking continued financial support.
While there were rumors of Cory going on a date with Nia Long, neither of them has officially confirmed any new relationships.
