Late legendary rapper The Notorious B.I.G.’s daughter has a message for all of his adoring fans. She has a name. It’s T’yanna Wallace, not “Biggie Smalls’s daughter.” Although she acknowledges her legendary lineage, she has her own identity. T’yanna Wallace was born on August 8, 1993, to The Notorious B.I.G. and his former longtime girlfriend, Jan Jackson. She was his firstborn child and was kept out of the spotlight for much of her younger life. But that began to change as she got older.
Now that she’s older, T’yanna Wallace wants to formally introduce herself to the world. However, although she’s both proud and aware of her heritage and “what comes with the territory,” she does not want to journey through life with the label of “Biggie’s daughter.” “I definitely want people to know me as T’yanna. T’yanna Wallace,” she stressed during an interview with H.O.T. 97. Additionally, Wallace highlights her desire to be known for her fashion designs, as she is the owner of Notoriouss Clothing.
T’yanna Wallace continued to speak on her life and upbringing, detailing her college experience. She moved from Brooklyn to travel to Penn State University for college. However, Wallace desired to relocate back to New York to continue her pursuit of fashion design and enjoy life as a young woman. Wallace also shared that she had a boyfriend back in Brooklyn while she was enrolled in college in Pennsylvania. She explained that once she learned how to operate a vehicle, she would travel back and forth to New York to visit him and her other friends.
Although she comes from the man many deem to be one of the greatest lyricists of all time, T’yanna Wallace claims that gene totally skipped her. In addition to not knowing how to rap, she states that she has no other musical talents and wishes that she had one. Instead, she grew her fashion sense and began to develop her business while in her sophomore year of college. Elsewhere in the interview, T’yanna Wallace gave her unadulterated opinion on the movie Notorious based on her father’s life. “I love the movie,” she confessed. She also discussed her father’s relationship with Tupac and said they were close. Check out the insightful conversation below.
