The marriage and all things romantic may be gone between Tammy Rivera and Waka Flocka Flame may be over and done with. But that doesn’t stop the bag. It’s business as usual for the estranged couple despite their split as the new season of Waka & Tammy: What The Flocka is on the horizon. The trailer for the reality series’s upcoming season has arrived, and in it, Waka shares that his ex lost faith in him.
Waka Flocka and Tammy Rivera got married in 2014. They then renewed their vows and had a lavish ceremony five years later. Fans have been given an inside look at their lives, careers, and marriage starting in 2014 when VH1 cameras began filming them for Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta. Their relationship with reality television continued when they were cast in season 14 of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars 12 – Hip Hop Edition. This would also begin Waka and Tammy’s relationship with WE Tv, which housed the reality series. The network then aired their vow renewal ceremony Waka and Tammy Tie the Knot on March 29, 2019.
Waka Flocka and Tammy Rivera’s relationship with WE Tv continued when they were cast on the third season of Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta in 2019. But after the success of their ceremony, which served as a backdoor pilot, the network began airing their own reality series, Waka & Tammy: What The Flocka. WE Tv ordered a 6-episode run for the first season, which began airing in March 2020. In the first season, fans got an open look as cameras chronicled the vicissitudes of Waka Flocka and Tammy Rivera’s marriage, which Rivera described as “not normal.” Fans saw many of the challenges they were navigating through at the time, which often caused arguments. Their marriage had been rocked by Waka Flocka’s past infidelity scandals, causing a rift in Tammy Rivera’s trust in him.
Waka & Tammy: What The Flocka also showed the couple maneuvering through co-parenting Rivera’s daughter from a previous relationship, Charlie. You also saw more of their extended family dynamic as both mothers are actively involved. “I try to act like we have the perfect marriage, but behind closed doors, there’s nothing but a facade. It’s all lies,” said Tammy Rivera in a clip of the first season. However, although they had apparent issues within their marriage, it was clear that both wanted to fight for their union.
Season 2 of Waka & Tammy: What The Flocka debuted in March of 2021 with an eight-episode run. The second season showed more of the couple’s struggles and ups and downs. It also included Charlie’s beautiful quinceanera celebration, for which Waka Flocka was very supportive. Now that Waka Flocka and Tammy Rivera are no longer a couple, fans may have been wondering whether or not there would be a third season. Finally, the trailer has emerged, showing how tough life will be as they navigate differently.
Season three of Waka & Tammy: What The Flocka debuted on WE Tv on August 18, 2022. At the trailer’s beginning, Rivera admits they hadn’t seen one another in some time. “I don’t have a partner like I had before, and it’s just me now,” she confessed to a friend. In addition, Waka Flocka shared in a conversation that he misses his best friend and how their split has affected him. “It hurts to watch somebody lose faith, and everybody else believes you’re Superman,” admitted the BET Hip Hop Award-winning rapper.
The trailer continues to show the contentious side of their relationship as they argue over co-parenting Charlie. It also depicts how their split has affected both Charlie and other members of their respective families. But it looks like fans will also get an inside look at how both Waka Flocka and Tammy Rivera might voyage into new romantic opportunities. Fans may recall when in March, a clip showing Waka Flocka on stage requesting the presence of some “chocolate women” went viral. However, it is unclear if either Tammy Rivera or the rapper has found love elsewhere.
