Taylor Swift had a blast at the 2023 MTV VMAs.
The 33-year-old singer, who took home a whopping nine wins at the Tuesday night event at the Prudential Center in New Jersey, was a fan favorite on the audience cam.
Pans of the crowd showed Swift singing and dancing along to the night’s performances and chatting with stars like her “Karma” remix partner, Ice Spice.
Swifties around the internet noticed that at one point, Swift was seen fighting with the cup holder for her seat, with her cocktail-sized cup falling flush with the lip of the holder. She uses her fingertips to pick the cup up slightly before getting a better grip, giggling and taking a sip.
Video of the moment has since gone viral on TikTok and X (formerly known as Twitter).

In one of her several wins from the night, the singer-songwriter took time to shoutout her record-shattering Eras Tour.
“I’ve just been on a tour that has been the most joyful and exhilarating experience,” she said. “And we’re not even halfway done with it. It’s really felt like the adventure of a lifetime this past year. I cannot believe that it was a year ago at the VMAs that I announced the Midnights album. And all I have to say tonight is thank you. I’m blown away. Thank you so much to the fans. I love you so much.”
The Grammy winner kicked off her tour in March in Glendale, Arizona, dazzling fans with a career-spanning 44-song setlist. Since then, her concerts have drawn famous friends and faces including Miles Teller, Drew Barrymore, Reese Witherspoon, Gigi Hadid, Paul Rudd and more. She’ll start a new leg of the tour in November.
Swift is set to release 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which will feature five new vault tracks, on Oct. 27 — the same day the original album first hit shelves in 2014.
Swift announced its release as she wrapped the first U.S. leg of her Eras Tour in August in Los Angeles.
“There’s something that I’ve been planning for a really, really, really ridiculously, embarrassingly long time, and instead of telling you about it, I think I’ll just sort of show you,” she told the audience, unveiling the cover art and release date for the record on the big screen.
