Surveillance video shows Danette Colbert leading Super Bowl reporter to his death

Surveillance video shows the final moments of Super Bowl reporter Adan Manzano’s life before he was found dead in a motel room in the New Orleans area.

Manzano was reportedly targeted by career criminal Danette Colbert.

Video footage, obtained by Daily Mail, shows Manzano and Colbert entering the Comfort Inn in Kenner, Louisiana, on February 5 at 3:46am.

The Telemundo Sports reporter is seen following Colbert through the lobby, to his room. He doesn’t appear to be under the influence.

Hours later, Colbert is seen leaving the hotel room by herself. Colbert returned to the room 20 minutes later.

She made two trips to the lobby reception desk, where she requested an extra key for the room.

She is then seen leaving the room at 5:21am for the final time.

Manzano was found unresponsive on February 6 at 3pm after colleagues called police for a welfare check when he failed to show up for work. Authorities say there were no signs of obvious trauma to Manzano’s body.

Colbert, 48, was arrested after she was caught using the deceased reporter’s credit cards in several stores.

She is charged with credit card fraud and trespassing. Authorities are still working to charge her with murder.

Manzano, 27, traveled from his home in Kansas City, Missouri to cover the Super Bowl for Telemundo Sports.

Tragically, Manzano’s wife Ashleigh died last April in a car crash that also seriously injured their infant daughter. The accident occurred in Topeka, Kansas, where the family lived, according to WIBW.

Colbert has a long history of drugging and robbing tourists in multiple states. She has a lengthy rap sheet for similar crimes dating back to the 1990s. But she was released from jail after each arrest.

Colbert was previously arrested in January 2022 for allegedly drugging a man and stealing $50,000 from him on the Las Vegas Strip. Colbert denied drugging the man, but she was later charged for similar crimes in Nevada. The victims in those cases survived their reported drugging.
