Actor Miguel A. Nunez Learns The Hard Way, You Can’t Walk Out Grocery Store Without Paying For Groceries

Miguel A. Nunez Jr. is a renowned actor with a long and storied career in the entertainment industry. However, recent events suggest that he may have faced some challenging times. Nunez found himself accused of shoplifting food items valued at over $100 and was subsequently taken into custody. Days later, he returned to the store to settle the bill. Now, let’s delve into Nunez’s perspective on what transpired.

As reported by TMZ, Miguel A. Nunez Jr. found himself at a Ralphs grocery store in Los Angeles when an incident unfolded. The actor, known for his role in “Juwanna Mann,” was in the checkout line when his credit card was declined. Faced with this situation, Nunez Jr. reportedly left the store with his groceries in tow. However, several days later, he returned to the same location, where store employees detained him until law enforcement arrived. He was subsequently cited for misdemeanor shoplifting and had to visit the police station, but he was ultimately released with a ticket.

At the time of the incident, Miguel Nunez maintains that he fully intended to pay for his items. The episode took place during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the long lines and social distancing measures in place led to his decision to leave without paying. When he returned to settle his $200 bill, the store manager declined his payment and contacted the authorities.

Speaking with Vlad TV last year, Miguel caught up with comedian Luenell, who encouraged him to share more about the grocery store incident. Miguel humorously noted that he didn’t realize he was famous until the incident became a media sensation. He described the situation, saying, “Some little ignorant woman made me stand outside and had a 3,000-person line outside,” referring to the Ralphs store.

Miguel Nunez shared that on that particular day, a combination of factors including the long line, an uncooperative woman, and his credit card not working left him exasperated. He asked if he could leave the items and go fetch his card, but the woman insisted he had to wait in line again. Frustrated, Nunez decided to simply leave with his groceries.

Nunez later returned to pay for the items, but the woman declined his offer, citing that he had essentially taken the groceries without payment. Luenell humorously remarked, “Cause by then, you had stolen the groceries.”

Nunez recalled that the officers who responded to the incident found it somewhat trivial and acknowledged that he made a genuine effort to return and pay. Following the incident, Miguel and Ralph’s Grocery Store reconciled and even organized a joint event. He explained, “We did a good thing because we got in touch with Ralphs and did a drive and raised like $3,000.” Luenell playfully characterized Miguel’s actions as “the blackest thing he’s ever done.”

Miguel Nunez admitted that this incident was not his first time bending the rules. He mentioned that he regularly racks up thousands of dollars in parking tickets because he opts to park close to his home, even if it means parking by a fire hydrant. He justified this by citing his knee problems, which make it difficult for him to walk long distances.

However, Luenell cautioned the actor that the grocery store incident was still considered shoplifting since he had left the premises with the items without making a payment. Fortunately, the situation is now in the past.

Looking ahead, Miguel Nunez appears to have a busy schedule. According to his IMDb profile, he currently has thirteen upcoming projects in the works.
