Yesterday, it was announced rapper Young Jeezy filed divorce papers on his talk show host wife of only 2 years Jeannie Mai, Thursday at Fulton County Superior Court.
Now paperwork has allegedly revealed more information as to why Jeezy filed docs to end the marriage. According to court documents obtained by Radar, the rapper stated their marriage was “irretrievably broken” and “there is no hope for reconciliation.” A shocking revelation as fans have been online waiting for updates hoping to hear of the couple’s reconciliation.
Docs also confirmed Jeezy is now allegedly seeking joint physical and legal custody of their daughter, Monaco born in January 2022, “on a temporary and permanent basis.” He reportedly requested the court to handle the final “decision-making” and determine a “specific parenting time schedule” that is consistent with “the best interests” of their child.
Jeezy clarified in the documents he believed both parents are responsible for the “support, maintenance, and education” of their daughter, and “child support should be “determined in accordance with Georgia law.”
The couple had been allegedly separated for quite sometime prior to Jeezy filing papers on Jeannie Mai this week.
The couple reportedly signed a prenuptial agreement prior to marrying, which he allegedly wants “enforced” by the court as it would resolve “all financial issues incident to this divorce.”
Jeezy made it clear in the documents he also allegedly wants the prenuptial heavily enforced, requesting both he and Jeannie Mai are awarded their “separate, non-marital property,” and for both parties’ assets and debts to be divided based on the prenuptial agreement drawn up.
Lastly, according to additional research sources claim the rapper allegedly drafted up divorce paperwork mid June 2023, based off dates on the documentations. Although he didn’t officially file until last week in September 2023 allegedly.
Jeezy’s net worth is estimated to be around $10 million US Dollars, while Jeannie Mai has a net worth of $4 million allegedly.
Neither parties have spoken publicly since the announcement.
