Boosie Suggests Serena Williams Is “Heartbroken By Drake” After Joining Kendrick Lamar At Super Bowl

Williams was also shouted out by K. Dot on the Drizzy diss “Not Like Us.”

Boosie Badazz weighed in on Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, with thoughts on Serena Williams making an appearance and those who have turned against Drake.

The Baton Rouge rapper took to X a day after the big game on Monday (Feb. 10) to defend Drizzy and make claims that the Tennis champion is “heartbroken” over the Toronto icon, as she c-walked to “Not Like Us.”

“SERENA GIVING HEARTBROKEN BY DRAKE VIBES [laughing emojis].” He followed up with the post, “JUST IMAGINING HOW DRAKE FEEL AFTER BOOSTING SO MANY ARTIST CAREERS WITH HIS FEATURES N THOSE SAME MFS AINT GOT SH*T TO SAY POSITIVE ABOUT THIS DUDE. THATS WEAK A** F**K TO ME ON GOD, IF I WAS DRAKE NOBODY COULD EVER GET ANOTHER FEATURE FROM ME #onbleek”

The “Wipe Me Down” rhymer’s take on Williams was a shocker, as she’s long moved on to her husband Alexis Ohanian, whom she married in 2017. The couple share two daughters, Olympia, 7, and Adira, 1.

Boosie’s remarks reignited conversation about Drake’s history of referencing Williams—particularly his comments about her and her husband. In a clip from his 100 Gigs website, Drake admitted to his mother that his 2016 single “Too Good” was about Williams.

“I get heavy on a couple joints, but this is more about me and Serena,” he said in a video of him in the studio. “It’s funny because when I make songs about women, I also make songs for them. So, I know what kind of song to make. If I’m gonna talk about them, I’ll at least do them the justice of making them a song that they like. So, I know Serena very well, and I know that she’ll hear it loud and clear, but she’ll also not hate me for it because it’s lighthearted.”

He also took aim at Ohanian on “Middle of the Ocean” from his Her Loss album, calling him a “groupie” while flexing his own lifestyle. “Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie/ He claim we don’t got a problem but/ No, boo, it is like you comin’ for sushi/ We might pop up on ’em at will like Suzuki,” he rapped.

Williams and Drake did briefly date in 2011 and the two seemed to have a very supportive relationship, with him attending various tennis matches of hers. The two were also spotted in a Cincinnati restaurant in 2015 once.

However since then, the 43-year-old has had a disdain for the rapper, as she’s excitedly backed K. Dot’s tyranny against Drake.
