Simone Biles lashed out at social media users who continue to “disrespect” her husband, Jonathan Owens, according to People.com.
Jonathan was in attendance to watch Simone win the Core Hydration Classic with the highest score of the night ahead of 2024 Paris Olympics.
Simone said his attendance was “a huge thing for him.”
But Simone’s followers ripped Jonathan to shreds on social media.
The Olympic gymnast called out her followers in an Instagram Stories message on May 19.
“Y’all are blatantly being disrespectful to my relationship & my husband. So I’m gonna go ahead & say this one time. Respectfully, f*** off,” she wrote.
Simone is annoyed that her followers still criticize Jonathan for saying he’s the “catch” in their relationship.
He made the comment during their appearance on “The Pivot” podcast in December.
“I always say that the men are the catch,” he said, after mentioning that he didn’t know who Simone was when they started dating.
“First of all, that interview had nothing to do with me,” Simone said of her husband’s conversation with The Pivot. “It was all for him. So I think they were mad that he didn’t include me in the interview, but he has to have his moments too, and I let him have it.”
Simone sat silently next to Jonathan during “The Pivot” interview.
“He never said I wasn’t a catch,” she clarified. “He said he was a catch because he is. I’ve never met a man like him. A lot of people that meet him are like, oh my gosh. I want a man like that, like Jonathan.”
Last month, Simone told her followers to leave her man alone after they asked her to divorce him because he brings nothing to the table.
In an interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast on April 16, Biles revealed she broke down in tears after seeing the negative comments about her husband.
In a TikTok video, Simone posted several of the phrases her followers use to insult her husband, including, “Mr. Biles,” “Simone & what’s his name again,” “leave him sis,” and “still don’t know his name.”
In the video, she tore off a piece of tape and said, “This is for your mouth. Let me know if you need a bigger piece.”
She captioned the video: “To all my Twitter finger friends & etc. #fyp #sorrynotsorry #mindyourbusiness.”
