Marlon Wayans acknowledges he fathered a baby girl with a woman who demands $22,000 a month in child support.
Wayans made headlines this week when Brittany Moreland filed a paternity lawsuit against him.
In an interview with The Shade Room, Wayans called Moreland “entitled”. He said the baby is not a secret and he willingly pays Moreland $18,000 a month for the 1-year-old girl.
“It’s the classic case of a good, loving, responsible father shelling out over $18k per month for a one-year-old, and an entitled woman decides she wants more. My mama and dem would’ve lost their minds for $2k.”
Wayans, 51, called out women who drag men to court when they willingly support their children.
“All these women having to drag men to court who pay NOTHING towards their children. And here, a woman gets a doctor’s salary and says it isn’t enough? I’ve had two children before this. I’ve never had this problem. I’m a good man with a good heart and strong sense of responsibility, but I refuse to be used and discredited.”
The father-of-three continued: “All love, all GOD. The baby isn’t a secret. The mama has been posted. I chose to keep the baby’s private life private. Ain’t nobody’s business. Social media is toxic and dangerous and I’d like to keep her peace.”
Wayans said he never attempted to lower his voluntary child support from $18,000 a month.
“I probably could and should, but goes to show no good deed goes unpunished,” he said.
Moreland asked the court to grant Wayans “visitation” rights.
Wayans said, “Do you pay all that money per month and be called a ‘visitor’?”
He added: “Do the math. This is delusional. I will let the lawyers and God do what they do, I’ll be creating art from a broken heart. I got nothing but love. Even when it’s bad, it’s good.”
