Rapper Fat Joe Fills Lil Mo’s Home With Flowers, Apologies For Disrespecting Singer During Verzuz

Fat Joe and Ja Rule’s installment of Verzuz was a true celebration of New York City and the rapper’s respective careers. Both men have a handful of hit records and iconic moments that they were able to reference and pay homage to. For Fat Joe, it was his many collaborations with friend and sister Remy Ma, while Ja Rule reserved his special guest slots for Lil Mo and Vita. Unfortunately, Fat Joe got a little carried away with the trash talk during their battle and disrespected Rule’s guest, and now he’s trying to make nice.

During their friendly exchange, Ja Rule pointed out that Remy Ma had come out several times to “save” Fat Joe. Remy is featured on two of Joe’s most-streamed records, “Lean Back” and “All The Way Up.” However, Ja Rule continued to taunt him, saying, “You’ll see somebody come out with me?” Joe fired back at Ja Rule, saying, “Oh, them dusty [expletive]. You had to go to the crack house to find them.” Many took the dig to be aimed at singer Lil Mo or rapper Vita who has many records with Ja Rule. They came out later in the evening to perform his hit record “Put It On Me.”

Fans were immediately upset with Joe, one commenting, “He lost just for that! It was way outta line and very disrespectful!” Lil Mo caught wind of the dig earlier in the evening and expressed her disappointment online commenting under a post with broken heart emojis. Elsewhere she discussed how she recently came clean from a past addiction, so the comment felt particularly painful. She also said in light of Michael K Williams’s recent passing, it all just seemed in poor taste.

Fat Joe immediately tried to apologize on Twitter, saying, “Shout out to the ladies very sorry if I disrespected [you]. I love Vita and Lil Moe. I’m super sorry. Love my sisters.” Now, as a sign that he is genuinely sorry and looking to move on, Fat Joe sent his flowers. Lil Mo posted the beautiful display on her social media, stating that “it takes a strong person to say sorry and an even stronger person to forgive.”

In a separate post, she shared a candid video from the verzuz of herself singing along and having fun. She captioned it, “BLESSINGS come down when you remain humble in all things. I AM so glad to be a part of the history that has been made. I AM Legendary,” she captioned a throwback clip from the battle. “I’ve made peace with everything and EVERYONE. And we are ALL moving on and going UP! Alhamdulillah!!” She continued, “When God gives you the opportunity to extend grace and forgive. ACCEPT IT. You never know when you may need it. Love always.”
