One of the biggest days in many of our lives is our birthday. It’s the day we celebrate turning a year older and often do so with friends and family.
When a celebrity has a birthday, they sometimes take it to the extreme. Money is spent on frivolous items, and the birthday bash is sure to make the news.
On March 10, Sharon Stone turned 65 years old, and she celebrated in a different way. She posted a picture, and it looks as if she’s had some work done on her lips. In fact, they are supersized.
According to The Independent, however, it isn’t a surgery that allowed her lips to be so big, it was a cherry type flavored candy known as Wax Lips. You can buy them and put them on yourself, giving yourself the big lips that seem to be so popular.
Along with having lips that were larger-than-life, she also wore some large reading glasses and black pajamas with white polka dots. It appears as if she just woke up because her hair is so messy, but I have a feeling that was probably staged for the photo.
She captioned the post: “I did it. Finally. For my birthday I went Hollywood. Sometimes u get EXACTLY what u wish for.”
The new look did get a lot of attention, with many people enjoying the dramatics. Her fans couldn’t stop commenting about it, and even some other celebrities were commenting as well.
Stone did admit in a Vogue Arabia article that there were times when she got Botox and filler in the past. After a massive stroke and nine-day brain hemorrhage, however, it required 300 shots of Botox just to make her face stop sagging.
In her words, it turned cosmetic surgery into a ‘massive, painful neurological need.’
Her birthday may be a day to celebrate, but she’s also had difficulties. This includes losing custody of her oldest adopted child to her ex-husband, Phil Bronstein. Reports were that she lost him because of the scene in basic instinct that many of us are familiar with.
She said: “I lost custody of my child. When the judge asked my child – my tiny little boy: ‘Do you know your mother makes sex movies?’ Like, this kind of abuse by the system – that I was considered what kind of parent I was because I made that movie.”
“People are walking around with no clothes on at all on regular TV now and you saw maybe like a 16th of a second of possible nudity of me – and I lost custody of my child,” she continued. “Are you kidding?”
She went on to adopt two other children, but she still gets emotional when she talks about how losing Roan took a toll on her health.
“I ended up in the Mayo Clinic with extra heartbeats in the upper and lower chamber of my heart. It broke my heart.”
